Speed bumps are ubiquitous in Ghana — found at every town entrance, near schools, and at police checkpoints. Many are unmarked and can be severe. Approach all towns slowly.

Urban: 50 km/h. Highways: 80–100 km/h. Police checkpoints are frequent. Always carry your IDP, license, and rental documents. Night driving is strongly discouraged due to unlit roads.
