Your California Privacy Rights
Last updated: April 2026
If you're a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), gives you specific rights regarding your personal information. This page explains those rights and how to exercise them at RoadSeal.
Your rights
1. Right to know
You can ask us to disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we've collected about you over the last 12 months, where it came from, why we collected it, who we shared it with, and (if applicable) who we sold it to.
2. Right to delete
You can ask us to delete the personal information we've collected from you. Some exceptions apply — for example, we must retain transaction records for accounting, tax, and anti-fraud purposes (typically 7 years in the UK).
3. Right to correct
You can ask us to correct inaccurate personal information. Most profile data can be edited directly at your account page.
4. Right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. If that ever changes, you'll see a prominent "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link at the bottom of every page and a working opt-out will be provided.
5. Right to limit use of sensitive personal information
We only use sensitive personal information (like your driver's licence number) for the purpose you provided it — issuing your International Driving Permit. We don't use it for profiling or marketing.
6. Right to non-discrimination
We won't deny you service, charge you different prices, or provide a lower quality of service because you exercised any CCPA right.
What personal information we collect

| Commercial info | Order history, plan type, renewal status | Servicing your account |
| Geolocation | Approximate location from IP (country / region) | Applying correct pricing & legal notices |
We do not collect biometric identifiers, precise GPS location, or professional/employment information.
Who we share your data with
- Stripe — payment processing (PCI-compliant; full card data never touches our servers)
- Supabase — database hosting (EU data residency)
- SendGrid (Twilio) — transactional email delivery
- Shipping carriers — name and address only, for delivery of physical IDP booklets
- Google Analytics — only with analytics cookie consent; IP addresses are anonymised
We do not share your data with data brokers, advertising networks, or third-party marketers.
How to exercise your rights
Option 1 — Self-service (fastest): sign in to your account and use the tools on your profile page to download your data or delete your account.
Manage my accountOption 2 — Email request: send an email to privacy@roadseal.co with subject line "CCPA request" and tell us which right you're exercising. We'll respond within 10 business days and fulfill verified requests within 45 days (we can extend by another 45 days if your request is particularly complex; we'll notify you if so).
Verification: to protect your data, we may need you to confirm ownership of the email on your account before we fulfill the request.
Authorised agents: you can designate someone to act on your behalf. They'll need written permission from you plus proof of their own identity.
Cookies and tracking
California residents can manage cookie preferences at any time using the cookie banner at the bottom of the page. We respect the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal — if your browser sends a GPC header, we treat it as a valid opt-out of sale/sharing.
Complaints
If you believe we've violated your CCPA rights, you can:
- Email us first so we can investigate: privacy@roadseal.co
- File a complaint with the California Privacy Protection Agency: cppa.ca.gov
- File a complaint with the California Attorney General: oag.ca.gov
