Your IDP photo is the number one reason applications get delayed. Getting it right the first time saves days of back-and-forth. Here is exactly what you need.
Photo Specifications
The standard IDP photo is 35mm x 45mm (passport-style). It must be recent (within the last 6 months), show your full face, and have a plain white or light background. No hats, no sunglasses, no filters.
When applying through RoadSeal, you upload a digital photo. Ensure it is at least 600x600 pixels, well-lit, and sharp. Phone cameras work fine if the lighting is good.
Common Mistakes
Shadows on the face are the most common rejection reason. Stand facing a window or use front-facing light. Cropping too tight cuts off the top of the head. Leave space above your head. Busy backgrounds distract from the face. Use a plain wall.
Tips for a Perfect Photo
Use natural light from a window. Stand 1 meter from a white wall. Look directly at the camera with a neutral expression. Remove glasses if possible (some countries require it). Ask someone else to take the photo — selfies often produce distortion.
1. Plain white/light background. 2. Face fully visible, no shadows. 3. Neutral expression, eyes open. 4. No hats or sunglasses. 5. At least 600x600 pixels for digital upload.
